Recycling Facts – the Impact On the Environment

When people do not recycle household waste, the tendency is to consume more products that are harmful to the environment. Some of these products include styrofoam, single-use plastics, and other non-biodegradable materials.

Global warming, natural disasters, and other environmental hazards are just a few of the negative effects people face. In fact, these are the consequences of insufficient information about recycling. Check out these recycling facts and think about what you can do about it.

The Basics of Recycling

In order to fight against global warming, different recycling facts must be taught to people in schools, offices, workplaces, and other places. The idea of recycling is very easy; however, it is always a question of why we need to recycle. Government agencies and private organizations are continually finding ways to recycle without making too much effort and getting more benefits.

Here are some practical tips that can have a big impact on the environment:

– One of the common facts of recycling is the use of plastics and other non-biodegradable products. The world is filled with garbage due to the use of materials that are not environmentally friendly. If the use of plastic is unavoidable, dispose of it properly or reuse rather than throw it away.

– Recycling and the use of paper instead of plastic are widely reported. As mentioned, plastic is not biodegradable and paper is a good alternative. It is better to use paper bags instead of plastic bags, as this material is environmentally friendly.

– Even glass can be recycled according to color and this is preferred by most recycling centers. Things like Pyrex, light bulbs, mirrors, and sheet glass should be separated since they are not accepted by recycling centers, so it is best to re-use or dispose of them properly.

– Containers made of tin cans are first flattened before they can be recycled. For foil and aluminum foil packaging, they are processed into aluminum mechanical components such as engine parts.

– In the case of electronic devices, some disposal facts indicate that they must be disposed of properly. Recycling ideas can mean donating them to charity, sending them to companies that can repair them, or selling them to companies that recycle them.

Recycling Facts

Recycling is being promoted in different parts of the world. In addition to the purposes of recycling, authorities, and experts also explain how we should dispose of them. Some people still do not see the positive effects of recycling, so it is necessary to intensively disseminate information in order to bring good news to people.

Here are some facts about recycling that everyone should be aware of:

    1. A ton of recycled paper can save energy equal to 185 gallons of gasoline. If we continue to recycle paper, more gasoline will be saved and preserved.
    2. Aluminum cans are also recyclable, and each ton is equivalent to over       1600 gallons of gasoline.
    3. Recycling can be fun and there are creative ways to do it. Instead of using gift wrapping and plastic bags, use recyclable bags available from department stores. Aside from saving the environment, it becomes a fashionable bag that you can carry with you wherever you go.
    4. To save money on buying air fresheners for your home, use the peel of fruits that give a fresh scent, such as grapefruit, orange, and lime. This is highly recommended because dried fruit peels are biodegradable.
    5. If you love buying plastic containers, do not throw them away after use. Instead, use them to store old toys, screws, tools, and other small items to prevent loss.
    6. If you have unused plastic cups, cardboard, dishes, or rolls of toilet paper, you can use them for any kind of craftwork. Part of recycling is teaching kids how to make something out of scrap metal.
  1. Make Recycling a Habit

Recycling should start in your own home. Before aiming for a big goal, start with small goals that are easy to achieve. Children and other family members should be taught to recycle waste at home. With joint efforts, recycling is bound to be successful.

Recycling may require additional effort and time at first. However, as you get used to it, you will find it very useful and interesting. Every container made of plastic, paper, or glass will have a second use, and you will soon realize how beneficial this can be.

If everyone will take part in the recycling of waste, this place will become a better place to live in. This means that there will be no more global warming, natural disasters, and catastrophes that people will face.

Aluminum Recycling Facts

Along with other materials, the advantages of aluminum products are achieved due to the fact of recycling aluminum. This kind of material is widely used; therefore, it is necessary to minimize its waste.

Just like plastic, aluminum also imposes harm to the environment, but with the right knowledge and best practices, recycling aluminum becomes very easy.

While there are a number of products that make use of aluminum, people can start with what is widely used or abundant. To encourage people to include aluminum on their list of recyclable materials, here are some aluminum recycling facts that everyone should know about:

– When the aluminum product is disposed of in a landfill, its decomposition period is within 80-100 years. If everyone throws away one aluminum product a day, imagine how much space this waste would take before it breaks down.

– If aluminum products are recycled, it can save energy that can power up a TV that will last up to three hours.

How to Recycle Aluminum Products?

The whole process of recycling aluminum can be very simple depending on the desire and enthusiasm of the person. Environmentalists and enthusiasts can take on this challenge wholeheartedly. To inspire more people, they came up with facts about recycling aluminum that everyone can easily follow.

– The most common type of aluminum is found in soda cans, tuna cans, soup cans, and others. After use, it is advised to collect them all in one container and hand them over to a recycling facility.

– Once it reaches the recycling facility, it will be transported to scrap processing companies, where it will be collected and placed in large bales.

– Once properly packed, they are sent to different aluminum companies for stripping, shredding, crushing, and incineration until they look like potato chips. These shavings are then cut and melted into new aluminum. The newly made material is then poured into sheets and cut to the required size and thickness.

– After that, it will be molded into desired shapes, so they can be used again as cans, containers, and for other purposes.

Once recycled, aluminum can be used for a variety of purposes, such as airplanes, boats, bicycles, computers, electrical wiring, and cookware parts.

So to reap all of these benefits, let us all do our part and start by spreading the facts about recycling to everyone we know.

Self-discipline: 6 Essential Steps to Success

In order to have self-discipline, you first need to have a strong desire to achieve a specific goal. Self-discipline requires fuel, and this gas usually comes in the form of inspiration or motivation. You need to maintain self-discipline one way or another, otherwise, it will probably be difficult for you to stay focused for a long time.

If you have some clarity regarding what self-discipline is everything about, let’s break down a 6 action procedure that will help you exercise self-discipline whenever you prefer to call it forthright into your lives.

1. Define exactly what you want

The primary step of this procedure involves getting very clear regarding what it is you wish to achieve. Self-discipline can just exist if it is transported toward something particular; something specific in this instance is a wanted result you have in mind that can be found in the kind of goal, habit, or a change of some kind.

To obtain clearness about just what it is you desire, ask yourself:

– What is it that I wish to do, be, have, or accomplish?

– What brand-new routine would certainly I want to develop?

– What actions would certainly I prefer to transform?

– What is something that I wish to concentrate on at this minute?

2. Describe the required changes

When you have clarity regarding just what it is you specifically desire, it’s time now to define these desired outcomes in terms of the behaviors you would love to take on and in regard to the individual, you would love to become as an outcome of achieving this objective.

Every goal we set ourselves brings a definitive collection of habits that we must engage in that will certainly help us to achieve that goal. Gaining clarity about these habits will aid you to identify exactly what it will certainly take to achieve your preferred result.

Have you considered your goal as well as ask yourself:

– What specific actions will I have to take to attain this goal?

– What particular practices will I embrace to attain this objective?

While responding to these questions it is necessary to also keep in mind your core values. The behaviors you grow and the routines you adopt should reflect these values. That is the only means to guarantee that you will have sufficient lasting endurance to stick with this goal.

The quest towards attaining a goal transforms individuals. This essentially suggests that you will certainly need to adjust and also transform in some ways, in order to achieve these goals in your life. Ask yourself:

– With this goal in mind, what person will I have to become in order to achieve it?

– What top qualities will I have to embrace?

– How will I have to think about myself, my life, as well as my objective?

3. Find role models

It’s time to look outward for answers in order to reinforce your self-discipline. Specifically, let’s find out some role models (friends, family, colleagues) who have currently actually achieved the goals you are working on. Presently, Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk is a good role model for different generations of people. Other motivational role models are Steve Jobs, Arnold S

Ask yourself:

– Who is doing this now?

– Who has efficiently attained this objective?

– Who has successfully understood this habit?

– Who has efficiently made this adjustment?

– Who has the required self-control around?

– What can I pick up from him, or her that can aid me along my journey?

If your role model is individuals you know, then make the effort to approach them as well as ask just how they disciplined themselves to follow up with particular activities that obtained their wanted end results. Utilize their experience to help you better self-control on your own along your personal individual journey.

4. Identify reason and obstacles

You must now have a higher degree of quality regarding just what it will take to achieve your preferred result. With the clarity of course comes more absolutely, as well as with more definitely it ends up being simpler to summon up the self-discipline required to stick with the activities you establish yourself to obtain the job done.

– Provided my goal, what barriers could stand in my way?

– What particular things could sidetrack me along my journey?

The much less engaging factors we have for achieving something, the most likely we are to come to be averted along our journey. In order to avoid obtaining sidetracked, you need to specifically jot down why you intend to attain your preferred result.

You can ask yourself:

– Why specifically do I wish to accomplish this goal?

– Why particularly do I intend to develop this routine?

– Why is this of main importance for me right now?

– Why do I actually want this in my life?

– What are the potential rewards I will get from doing this?

As you are responding to these concerns it is necessary that you do not simply decide on a couple of factors. Keep creating the “why’s”! The more engaging reasons you have for completing your wanted outcome the less complicated it will be for you to self-control yourself along your trip.

5. Develop a strategy of action

You need to currently have a considerable amount of clearness regarding what it is you desire and just what especially it will certainly consider you to understand this preferred outcome. It’s time to use that info in order to assemble a strategy of activity for accomplishing this objective. You must create a collection of mini-milestones, moreover, you have to have a clear target date for the accomplishment of your goal.

Mini-milestones will make certain that you are functioning towards your wanted end result in small pieces. As well as naturally where there is stagnancy, self-discipline can not exist. It’s as a result paramount that you take progressive actions in the direction of your goal in order to preserve control at all times. Having a clear due date in the area is likewise essential. A clear due date will help you self-control on your own since it concentrates you on a particular end day for the accomplishment of your goal.

With an end date in mind, all your sources, as well as power, are funneled properly to help you keep the needed energy you should follow things with to the end. A target date supplies you a feeling of seriousness, as well as this, has the possibility to maintain you much more concentrated and disciplined on the jobs at hand.

6. Make yourself accountable

The last action of this procedure comes down to accountability. You have to hold yourself liable well as also you must have another person holding you responsible for the decisions and choices you make along your quest.

You can for example develop a support group around you that could help you stay focused and on course. Going to this assistance group can be your individual liability companion (a friend or member of the family) that checks in on you on a normal basis to see how points are proceeding.

Therefore, self-discipline grows from a level of certainty you have concerning something. When you have a lot more assurance the simpler it is to master up self-discipline. When assurance is not achieved after that it’s very easy to end up being averted as well as distracted along your quest.

Solar Powered Automotive Technology

The idea that cars can run entirely on solar power is gaining traction these days. Rethinking gasoline-based transport as a major source of air pollution and depletion of natural resources will help tackle the climate crisis. An alternative solution to this problem could be the creation of vehicles that convert the energy of the sun into electricity.

The first solar-powered car was shown on August 31, 1955, at the General Motors Powerama in Chicago. It was a small car, 15 inches (38 cm) long, which became the main attraction of the event, which laid the foundation for the future of solar-powered automobile production.

Operating principle of a solar vehicle

Although the Sun’s energy is not yet available to provide sufficient power to operate a vehicle, many automakers are trying to find the use of solar batteries as an alternative source.

The principle of a solar car is based on the conversion of solar energy into electrical energy, which is the power source for the solar-powered electric motor installed in the car. The principle of converting solar energy into electrical energy is based on “p-n conductivity” created in solar cells made of two layers of silicon with the addition of various substances.

An electric motor can be connected, ensuring normal operation in various operating modes as well as a number of batteries that are responsible for the supply of electrical power. Such a circuit can serve as a drive for mechanical transmission, including car movement.

Challenges of Solar-Powered Automotive

Many methods have been developed to convert solar energy in cars into electrical energy. In addition, the use of solar energy to power various objects is a popular research area around the world.

There are many ways and theories for converting solar energy, the most promising for the automotive industry are:

    • the use of photocells in transport and stationary;
    • the use of various heat engines for converting solar energy (Stirling engine, steam engines, various variations of external combustion engines, etc.);
    • the use of solar power plants (hot air, ground-based various variations, etc.);

Currently, the most popular use of photovoltaic cells for the accumulation and conversion of solar energy, due to their reliability, ease of maintenance, and manufacturability, including for cars and other vehicles. Typically, photovoltaic solar cells are installed on open surfaces that are good for sunlight, such as the inside of a car roof.

First solar-powered car

The Development of Solar-Powered Vehicles

Giants of the automotive industry are engaged in the production of solar-powered prototypes. These are BMW, Toyota, Mercedes, French Venturi, and Swiss Green GT.

Due to the low power and high cost of converting solar energy, photocells have not yet found widespread use, however, the prospects for their use in the automotive industry are quite large.

Developments are going in 2 directions:
    1. creation of a mixed design of a car with solar panels, which in cloudy weather can be recharged from the electric network and work like a regular car.
    2. creation of a car in which solar energy is used for auxiliary needs, for example, for the operation of a navigation system or condensation.

Thus, the idea of a “clean” solar-powered car technology is not ready yet. Meanwhile, experimental models of such vehicles have already been tested for sale to wealthy buyers.

Aptera’s Paradigm and Paradigm Plus

Aptera Motors has introduced a no-charge electric vehicle and has begun accepting pre-orders for it. The Paradigm and Paradigm Plus models use a solar panel with an area of about 3 m2 and a power of 700 watts. It consists of several sections mounted on the bonnet, roof, and even on the dashboard. This solar battery charges the traction battery, which, in turn, powers the electric motor (there are two in the top version).

According to the developers, such a solar battery generates energy during the day, which is enough for 60 km of run. And if you “stretch” the solar battery on the trunk lid, then the daily mileage on free energy will increase by another 38.5 km. Of course, these are the limit values in sunny weather, in reality, most likely, you can count on 50 km of run.

Depending on the power plant, battery capacity, and additional options (individual color, improved audio system, etc.), the price varies from 25 to 46 thousand US dollars.

Tesla Motors

Despite the success in the field of electric vehicles, Tesla CEO Elon Musk in 2017 gave up the idea of placing solar panels on the roof of the Tesla Model 3 as inefficient. However, solar power technology has improved significantly and is making more sense.

Elon Musk recently said the Cybertruck could have solar panels as part of its features but a solar electric van would make “a little more sense”. “A van, because you’ve got a big flat area, that’s actually where solar could start to make a little more sense because you could have a lot of areas,” Musk said.

In contrast to Tesla, Toyota has installed solar panels on the roof of its new Prius Prime hybrid, which will increase the vehicle’s range from 20 to 30 km depending on the amount of sunlight and weather conditions.

Thus, transport in the future will definitely use alternative energy sources. At the current level of development of solar panel technology, they are often not able to fully provide movement. However, solar technology is developing rapidly, which is only a matter of time.

Going Bananas for Sustainable Fashion

Most people simply throw away the banana peels without trying to utilize this useful byproduct. The global trend towards sustainable fashion is to find innovative ways to replace resource-intensive and non-renewable materials with plant-based alternatives to fibers and textiles. Let’s explore the uses of banana byproducts in the sustainable fashion industry.

Banana Waste Products

There are many ways to use banana peels and byproducts for personal care, gardening, cooking, household remedy and more. Banana peels are rich in antioxidants, potassium, magnesium, vitamins C and B6, and fiber. There are many ways to cook meat and fish with banana peels, as well as many delicious and nutritious meals.

However, banana by-products have many more benefits in our lives that have been forgotten and revived with the trend towards environmentally friendly and biodegradable products. Banana stems and peels are rich in fiber and have been used to make textiles in Southeast Asia for centuries. The Philippines, Japan, and Nepal have been places where banana-based textiles have been historically produced for centuries.

In Japan, since the early 13 century, banana stalks were used to make traditional clothes such as kimonos. Today India became the world’s hub for the production of banana fabric. The country is the largest banana producer and produced 22% of the world’s banana production.

What is Banana Fiber?

Banana fabric is 100% organic and recyclable, therefore, eco-friendly. Banana byproducts such as stems and peels are a good source of banana fiber. It takes approximately 37 kilos of banana stems to produce 1 kilo of banana biodegradable textiles.

Banana fiber has unique chemical and physical characteristics. It is one of the strongest natural fibers and is used to replace non-biodegradable or animal-based materials. In addition to being biodegradable, banana tissue also benefits from the fact that banana fiber is lightweight, highly absorbent, water and fire-resistant.

Banana fiber has a high moisture absorption quality. Therefore, clothes made from banana fabric in summer are considered very comfortable due to their water-absorbing capacity.

However, banana fiber, which is considered almost carbon neutral, is not as strong as hemp and bamboo fibers. However, there are currently certain restrictions on what can be made from banana fibers. This prevented some companies from producing more mainstream fashion clothing like t-shirts, trousers, and so on.

How is Banana Fiber Produced?

Banana fiber, also called musa fibre, is one of the strongest natural fibers in the world. The biodegradable natural fiber from the stem of the banana tree is incredibly durable. Fiber is composed of thick-walled cellular tissue connected by natural gums and is basically made out of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin. Banana fiber is like regular bamboo fiber, yet its spinning ability, fineness, and elasticity are considered better.

Banana fiber can be used to make a variety of fabrics of varying weights and thicknesses, depending on which part of the banana stem the fiber was taken from. The quality of the fiber made from the stem varies, so it can be used to make different types of banana fabrics

The thicker and stronger fibers come from the outer shell of the banana tree, so they can be used to make baskets, handbags, ropes, mats, woven fabrics as well as handmade papers. The inner fibers produced from the inner shell are fine and smooth and are used to produce delicate and soft fabrics such as silk.

Apparel-grade banana fiber is commercially produced in India from banana stems. The natural fiber is made from the stem of a banana and then tucked in with a thread so that the fabric is fully ready for use.

Bananatex was the first fiber produced in collaboration between the Swiss company QWSTION and Taiwanese yarn specialists from a sustainable plantation in the Philippines. The company has a circular production, ranging from the extraction of fiber from abaca banana plants to fully biodegradable products.

Environmental impact of the Fashion Industry

The fashion industry is the second-largest polluter in the world. About 10 % of annual global carbon emissions, that is more than all international flights and maritime shipping combined, and 20 % of the world’s wastewater comes from the fashion industry.

As the fashion business moves into the future when material supplies are limited, commonly used fibers such as cotton, which is a water-intensive material, and oil-based fibers such as acrylic, polyester, nylon, and spandex remain highly popular. The production of these fibers is harmful to the environment.

Banana production is damaging to the environment and includes the use of agrochemicals, water pollution, deforestation, destruction of animal habitats, child labor, and low-wage labor.

Since bananas are one of the foremost popular fruits in the world, over 100 billion bananas are consumed annually.  Bananas are harvested two to four times a year, and the stems are usually cut and discarded as waste. Over a billion tons of banana tree stems are thrown away annually.

Sustainable Fashion Companies Go Bananas

The global trend towards sustainable fashion is to find innovative ways to replace these materials with sustainable alternatives to fibers and textiles. An increasing number of companies are looking for sustainable alternatives. Designers are switching to plant-based materials because they are eco-friendly and affordable.  This approach can help reduce the impact of non-renewable and material-intensive production.

The Future Fabrics Expo in London showcased the best of environmentally friendly textiles. The exhibition was organized by Nina Marenzi, the founder of The Sustainable Angle (2010) aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the fashion industry. In addition, the exhibition showed plant-based alternatives in order to replace cotton and oil-based polyester.

Plant-based companies and start-ups, that use agricultural waste, are booming since the emergence of new innovations in this area. Banana fiber producing start-up Green Whisper plans to cooperate with fashion companies in the US, Asia, and France.

A new start-up Circular Systems company produces natural fabrics from banana by-products, pineapple leaves, sugarcane bark, and flax and hemp stalk. Fashion brands such as H&M and Levi’s are planning to partner with Circular Systems to make new garments from these sustainable fibers.

Green Banana Paper company founded by Matt Simpson in Micronesia produces locally made banana fiber from waste. Banana waste and byproducts purchased from farmers provide them an additional source of income.

In addition to banana by-products, other natural resources are used to make natural fabrics, such as pineapple leaves, sugarcane bark, flax, and hemp stalks. Many fruits such as apple peel, grape pulp, and oranges are also considered a source of natural fiber.

Sustainable fabrics and sustainable fashion have a positive impact on society and the environment, including the carbon footprint of textiles, without harming the environment.

Social Engineering in the Age of Pandemics

We live in a post-information world where dubious and ideology-based information plays a dominant role in all spheres of our life. People receive information from corporate media and television and reality itself fades into the background and plays a secondary role.

This is a time of massive social engineering to force the masses to act in the right direction without realizing it. Social engineering is the “psychological manipulation of people into performing actions or divulging personal information.”  Another definition is: “any act that influences a person to take an action that may or may not be in their best interests.”

In this article, we will look closely at different means of mind control with the help of modern technologies and their effect on the human body.

Methods of Influencing the Human Mind

The information and psychological impact on the human mind can be achieved by various direct and indirect means. The general approach in the field of influencing people’s minds is based on the scientific studies of this phenomenon.

The traditional way of influencing human minds is based on rational arguments and logic. Along with rational ways, there are ways that can be called irrational. They can be destructive, and force people to serve other people’s purposes.

One of the effective methods is the method of big lies, successfully applied and substantiated by Hitler, who wrote: “The receptivity of the masses is rather limited, their understanding is insignificant, but the forgetfulness is too great … Only those who repeat the ordinary concepts a thousand times, the masses will want to remember. If we are to lie, lie blatantly: they are more likely to believe a big lie than a small one..”

Another method is based on the limited perception of people. Most people do not have the ability to process a large amount of data, since their operative memory is limited, excess information is perceived as noise. Therefore, the simplicity of formulation, repetition, and consolidation of a certain set of provisions play an important role.

Repetitive, sequential campaigns that grab people’s attention are quite effective tools. Over time, old campaigns are forgotten, new ones come to replace them, and everything repeats again. The successive change of campaigns leaves no time for reflection and evaluation.

The third method is based on the fact that in the subconscious of every person there is a “herd” sense of belonging to a particular social group, which correlates the action of individuals. On its basis, one can successfully promote any ideology, racial and religious exclusivity, fashion,  lifestyle benefits, etc.

TV and Monitors

A number of methods have been developed for effective informational influence for brainwashing and transforming people into an easily manageable mass.

Brainwashing of people has been going on for decades by the means of television, mass media as well as the education system, political, corporate-sponsored scientific manipulations, and Big Pharma/Vaccine propaganda,

An unprecedented experiment is being conducted with people today. With the help of the media, persistent attempts are being made to “rebuild” the way of thinking of the population changing the moral and spiritual values passed down from generation to generation.

The practical experience of influencing people’s brains is well demonstrated in the field of advertising. Advertising corporations analyze the results of demand research, tests, surveys, the effectiveness of advertising media messages. A very effective method often used in advertising is: “Always speak the truth, speak a lot of the truth, speak much more truth than is expected of you, never tell the whole truth.”

Therefore, with the help of the media, it has become possible to convey a false distorted picture of real events taking place in the world and to force people to act contrary to their interests.

Nervous System Manipulation by Electromagnetic Fields from Monitors

The human brain can also be significantly influenced by electromagnetic and acoustic fields, especially in the infrared range. By turning them into people focused on a relatively small space, it is possible to significantly change their behavior and lead to inadequate, abnormal decisions.

Scientific studies of the phenomenon of the effect of electromagnetic fields (EMFs) on the human body and brain have been going on for decades, but they were little known or classified to the general public.

The US patent 6506148 B2 titled “Nervous System Manipulation By Electromagnetic Fields From Monitors” confirms the ability to manipulate the nervous system. It was filed by someone called Hendricus G. Loos in 2001 and published in 2003.

According to the patent: Many computer monitors and TV tubes, when displaying pulsed images, emit pulsed electromagnetic fields of sufficient amplitudes to cause such excitation. It is, therefore, possible to manipulate the nervous system of a subject by pulsing images displayed on a nearby computer monitor or TV set.”

Nowadays we are so dependent on electronic devices that it’s practically impossible to turn them all off. People are permanently attached to electronics due to remote work,  online studies, video/games, etc.

Remote Mind Control and Remote Brain Mapping

In the second half of the 20th century, thousands of people including young children were subjected to mind control experiments.

Washington State Fusion Center accidentally released records on the effect of remote mind control on the human body. The document was sent in response to a request for information on Antifa and the white supremacist group and disclosed in one file titled “EM effects on the human body.”

The file contained 3 diagrams that revealed the psycho-physiological effect of Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs) used as a psycho-electronic weapon on the human body and brain. The first diagram titled “Psycho-electronic Weapon Effects.” demonstrates the effect of EMFs on the human body. These effects included sudden overheating, intense pain, forced manipulations with the body parts, irresistible “go there, go there” commands, microwave burns, electric shocks, etc.

mind control

The diagram titled “Remote Mind Control/ Remote Brain Mapping” demonstrated the EMF mind control on both individuals and groups that could be achieved via mobile phone networks, mobile psychotropic weapon carriers, etc. The last diagram titled “Bio-Electromagnetic Human Brain Wave” demonstrates remote brain mapping and electronic signal frequency ID which is unique for every human body and can be detected by radar electronic signals.  This classified document reveals an area of scientific studies that can be used for military purposes, as well as for mass mind control of the population.

The MK Ultra Mind Control Program

The MK Ultra Mind Control program victim, Cathy O’Brien, and Mark Phillips gave a lecture on “Mind-Control Out of Control” at the Granada Forum Conference (October 31, 1996). They uncovered a trauma-based New World Order mind control program.

Cathy O’Brien wrote in her blog“Many of u.s. are on to the reality that mind control minions are being paraded in front of media cameras in an attempt to create division and chaos while traumatizing our nation with unthinkable violence.  Trauma is the basis of mind control. Knowledge is our defense against it.

For more information on the effect of EMF on human health, check out our articles here.

COVID-19 and 5G – What Is the Connection

The recent pandemics such as the Spanish flu, swine flu, SARS, MERS, and EBOLA have never existed before; they arose and suddenly disappeared from nowhere. We are told that the great progress in the field of biomedical science and the development of vaccines will help to overcome these infectious diseases. But first of all, where do these diseases come from?

Each new technology,  such as the invention of the internet caused new waves of mysterious epidemics that had been blamed on new mutated strains of viruses and bacteria. None of these diseases had ever existed before; they emerged and disappeared all of a sudden from nowhere.

A flu pandemic from 1957 to 1958 killed around 2 million people worldwide. Every year thousands of people worldwide die from the flu. The recent pandemics of the 21st century included swine flu, SARS, MERS, and EBOLA pandemics that had been expected to kill millions of people. Fortunately, not all of them were as deadly as expected.

Is Influenza Caused by Electricity?

According to Arthur Firstenberg, “influenza is a neurological disease that can affect almost every organ, with or without respiratory symptoms. It is caused by electricity”. ”Radio waves have sickened and killed more of humanity in the past century than all of the bacteria and viruses combined”.

There are documented sources showing that this deadly pandemic was not caused by the virus. The flu was not contagious and did not spread directly from human to human.

Numerous experimental efforts to reveal the contagious nature of the disease had failed. Medical workers tried to infect the volunteers using secretions from the mouth, nose, throat, and other parts, as well as by blood of the sick patients. None of these attempts could contaminate the volunteers (see Arthur Firstenberg, The Invisible Rainbow. The History of Electricity and Life, chapters 7-9). These prove that the flu was not contagious and was not caused by the virus.

In our previous post, we discuss the documental reports which demonstrate that the Spanish flu was caused by vaccination. The vaccination of military personnel had become compulsory in 1911 and recruited soldiers were given 14-25 shots.

According to US Army records, seven soldiers dropped dead after being vaccinated. The documental records showed that the flu killed only the vaccinated people, those who refused the vaccination escaped the flu.

The Spanish Flu and AC Technology

The Earth and humanity had never encountered the radio waves of the electromagnetic field before the invention of radio technology.

Mysterious epidemics of unknown infections have started to occur again at the beginning of the 20th century. Infections have been described to the public as being caused by new mutated strains of bacteria or viruses that could destroy the human immune protective barriers.

The unexpected circumstances such as emerging technologies could cause more complicated and little understood consequences of the worldwide spread of the pandemic. According to Arthur Firstenberg, the so-called influenza of 1918 did not exist before the deployment of AC electricity in 1889.  The spread of radio waves throughout the world caused the unknown disease (see Arthur Firstenberg, The Invisible Rainbow. The History of Electricity and Life, chapters 11-13).

The Spanish flu epidemic had two waves. The first started in early 1918 was caused by the beginning of the deployment of wireless telegraphy stations. The second more deadly wave that started at the beginning of 1919 and lasted till 1921, was caused by the escalation of radio technology throughout the world. All of a sudden, the virus disappeared.

The symptoms of Spanish flu were dark spots on the body and bluish skin; patients had nosebleeds, and their lungs were filled with fluid that led to suffocation by their own blood. Patients died a few hours after infection from a lack of oxygen.

COVID-19 and 5G

Each new technology, from the first installation of high-intensity radars to today’s installation of 5G networks, has sparked new waves of mysterious epidemics, blamed on new strains of viruses.

COVID-19 is predicted will have several waves and the second one is expected in the fall of 2020. This coincides with turning on the 5G at full power around the globe.

A study by Bartomeu Payeras I Cifre from the University of Barcelona published in April 2020 showed a direct correlation between the 5G rollout and the outbreak of CV-19.  The study demonstrated “clearly the most likely probability that the COVID-19 hypoxic injuries and hospital admissions are directly related to electromagnetic radiation exposure by 5G Networks”.

The publication was claimed inaccurate and flowed and quickly taken out the site. The article was blamed for overlooking “the fact that COVID-19 cases and 5G rollout may both independently be affected by external parameters such as population density or wealth.

They also compared countries without accounting for differences between them such as demographics, healthcare system robustness, and social distancing policies.” In addition, it was claimed that 5G is not available in countries like France and Italy which had the highest levels of Covid-19 cases.

Another study linking 5G to Covid-19 by the group—members of the Guglielmo Marconi University, Central Michigan University, and First Moscow State Medical University was published in PubMed and then quickly withdrawn.

Why are Scientists Silenced?

The 5G frequencies have a damaging impact on human health and the environment. Numerous studies have reported an increased risk of developing cancer, cardiovascular disorders, impairments in the nervous system, eyesight, infertility, miscarriage, mental problems associated with depression, anxiety, and neurodegenerative disorders. The harmful effects of EMF on living organisms have been confirmed in over 10,000 studies.

Scientists from around the world have signed a petition (2015) to the United Nations and the World Health Organization, expressing their concern about the negative effects of EMFs on human health.

The 5G deployment has begun in 2019 and will be turned on globally in the second half of 2020. The 5th generation of wireless technology will increase the level of radiation by 10 to100 times around the world.

The International Petition Stop 5G (2018) signed by nearly two hundred thousand signatories from 208 countries and territories, called for stopping the deployment of 5G, including 5G from space satellites.

What is happening now around the world is the consequences of this irresponsible act, which is considered “an experiment on humanity and the environment and is defined as a crime under international law”.

COVID-19 and the Spanish Flu – What Do They Have in Common

Mysterious deadly epidemics have begun to recur at the beginning of the 20th century, such as the Spanish flu, and continued in the 21st century, including swine flu, SARS, MERS, and others. These epidemics, as expected, would kill millions of people. However, not all of them were as deadly as expected.

2020 will go down in history as the beginning of the so-called COVID-19 pandemic. The epidemic began in January 2020 in China and quickly spread around the world. Let’s take a close look at some of these epidemics and their similarities and differences.

What Was the Spanish Flu of 1918?

The so-called “Spanish influenza” of 1918-1921 was the second deadliest pandemic after the Bubonic plague of the 1300s. The flu pandemic began in the United States military bases and spread by the American troupes sent to Europe during World War I and spread worldwide.

About 500 million people were infected around the world and more than an estimated 50 million were killed by the flu. The huge number of casualties had been explained by the lack of the socialized healthcare system and little understanding of viruses at the time.

The epidemic had several waves. The first wave began in early 1918. The new mutated strain caused a second, more deadly wave that began in early 1919. Suddenly, the virus disappeared, as it appeared. Oddly enough, the victims of the disease were mostly healthy young people.

What Caused the Spanish Flu?

According to official reports, doctors discovered the H1N1 virus at US military bases. However, doctors could not know that the Spanish flu was caused by a virus. The first virus in men was discovered only in 1933. Thus, the viral cause of the pandemic still remains mysterious and inexplicable.

To combat an unknown disease, doctors prescribed aspirin up to 30 grams per day, which is now known as a toxic dose. Symptoms of aspirin poisoning include hyperventilation and pulmonary edema or fluid accumulation in the lungs. Thus, it is possible that many deaths were caused by aspirin poisoning.

The Spanish Flu Vaccine

Today, the Spanish influenza pandemic of 1918-21 has been explained by the lack of vaccines against the flu. However, numerous documents indicate that the pandemic was caused by vaccines. Documented vaccination records can explain these mysterious facts.

Vaccination became mandatory in 1911, and recruited soldiers received 14-25 shots. Mandatory vaccination led to devastating symptoms and death among military troupes, which was thought to be caused by a flu pandemic.

This disease had symptoms of all the diseases that people were vaccinated with, such as typhoid, plaque, cholera, etc. According to the source, deaths were caused by severe poisoning from a conglomerate of various vaccines. Many were paralyzed as a result of the overall effect of vaccine poisoning.

Moreover, documentary records showed that the flu killed only the vaccinated people, and those who refused the vaccine escaped the flu. Indeed, vaccinated soldiers were affected seven times more than unvaccinated civilians.

US Army records indicate that seven soldiers fell dead after vaccination. In addition, the report stated, “63 deaths and 28,585 cases of hepatitis as a direct result of fever vaccination during only six months of the war.”

In a Petition to the President to Abolish Compulsory Vaccination in Army and Navy in 1920, Chas M. Higgins wrote: “that there have been more deaths from vaccination than from smallpox in every year for the past fifteen years in the City and State of New York”.

He emphasized that vaccination is dangerous and can “kill in from ten to fifteen minutes, after injection of the serum, by what is known as “serum sickness which is a kind of rapid blood and nerve poisoning affecting vital nerve centers, to which some persons are very susceptible”.

In other fatal cases, where the poisoning action is slower, death finally occurs from lockjaw, paralysis, meningitis, or pneumonia, which are frequent results of vaccination”.

The Spanish Flu Symptoms

The disease initially looked like seasonal flu, and then secondary complications such as pneumonia developed. The victims developed symptoms within hours or days.

According to Eleonora I. McBean, Ph.D., N.D.,”The new disease they had created had symptoms of all the diseases they had injected into the man. There was a high fever, extreme weakness, abdominal rash, and intestinal disturbance characteristic of typhoid. The diphtheria vaccine caused lung congestion, chills and fever, swollen, sore throat clogged with the false membrane, and the choking suffocation because of difficulty in breathing followed by gasping and death, after which the body turned black from stagnant blood that had been deprived of oxygen in the suffocation stages” (In the book Swine Flu Exposed, Chapter 2  The Spanish Influenza Epidemic of 1918 was caused by vaccinations).

COVID-19 pandemic

COVID-19 and the Spanish Flu Similarities

The COVID-19 pandemic began in January 2020 in Wuhan in China. The origin of the pandemic virus is still uncertain. According to official data, COVID-19 was transferred to a human from a bat. However, many scientists, including the French virologist Luc Montagnier, who received the Nobel Prize in medicine in 2008 for his work on the HIV virus, stated the coronavirus was made in a laboratory.

Other infectious diseases caused by coronaviruses were the 2003 SARS (for severe acute respiratory syndrome) which caused 812 deaths, and the 2012 MERS (for the Middle East respiratory acute syndrome) which killed 866 people. In both cases, the main symptoms were fever, cough, and shortness of breath.

Some symptoms of the COVID-19, such as the lack of oxygen are surprisingly similar to symptoms of Spanish flu. Most of the victims developed secondary complications such as pneumonia, which was fatal for victims with a weakened immune system.

Quarantine, masks, and other measures

During the so-called Spanish flu, measures were taken to prevent the spread of infection, such as quarantine, personal hygiene, and the closure of schools, churches, and other public places. The same measures have been taken worldwide to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Was this a scientifically sound decision? No, there was no scientific basis for this decision. Sweden was the only country that adopted a science-based strategy developed by a scientific committee in which the lockdown of the country was unnecessary.

To date, enough experimental data and patient data have been accumulated to understand the disease. Many doctors, scientists, and others express the truth about the incorrect diagnosis, testing, and treatment of the disease.

COVID-19 Testing

The information provided by authoritative organizations, including the CDC, about diagnostics, tests, treatment, and protection changes every time. Now CDC writes on its website: “If you  test positive:

    • A positive test results show you might have antibodies from infection with the virus that causes COVID-19.
    • Having antibodies to the virus that causes COVID-19 might provide protection from getting infected with the virus again.”

In fact, this could mean that a positive test is actually a good result because people have developed immunity against this disease.

In Conclusion

Since March 2020, most countries of the world have been in lockdown, businesses, schools, and other public places closed. The COVID-19 pandemic did not go smoothly, as had been expected. Millions of people have awakened and are seeking the truth.

If you have your own opinion or suggestions on this issue, please share them below.

Is a Coronavirus Pandemic a Hoax?

The World Health Organization (WHO) announced in March that COVID-19 is a pandemic. Many countries around the globe have been locked down. The mainstream media report a huge number of deaths and that hospitals are overcrowded with infected patients. However, many doctors and scientists disagree with lockdown measures and the COVID-19 pandemic.

In our previous post, we discussed the recovery rate from COVID-19 based on the real-time tracker of Johns Hopkins University. However, 25 to 50 percent of people do not show symptoms of the COVID-19 virus infection or have not been tested. The lack of adequate testing or incorrect test results adds a lot of inaccuracy to the disease statistics.

We continue to investigate the statistics accumulated over the past months, as well as the opinions of medical doctors, experts, and scientists on measures taken to fight COVID-19.

Was Lockdown Necessary?

John P.A. Ioannidis, a professor of medicine and epidemiology at Stanford, in an article published on March 17, raised a concern that there is no reliable data on the prevalence of the virus in the general population. The official fatality rates of 3.4 percent, reported by the WHO, declaring COVID-19 a pandemic, he criticized as meaningless and leading to a massive hysteria and panic.

“A positive test for coronavirus does not mean necessarily that this virus is always primarily responsible for a patient’s demise”, he continues. In fact, the majority of victims had serious preconditions like heart attacks, strokes, trauma, bleeding, etc.

Dr. Ioannidis commented, “Our data suggest that COVID-19 has an infection fatality rate that is in the same ballpark as seasonal influenza.”

A serological study published on April 17, 2020, by Bendavid et al., claims that from 2.49 percent to 4.16 percent of people in Santa Clara County were infected and developed antibodies against COVID-19. This data indicates that the infection was much more widespread and about 50-85-fold more than the number of confirmed cases.

More doctors are concerned that lockdown measures are absolutely unnecessary and diminish chances for developing herd immunity in an age group that is spared serious disease.

Lockdown is Harmful to Health

The study at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland showed that vitamin D is required for the immune system to fight Covid-19.  Their data reveal that countries in the Southern Hemisphere such as Australia have lower mortality compared to the countries located to the north which receive insufficient sunlight and suffer from vitamin D deficiency. The Nordic countries do not have vitamin D deficiency due to the widespread supplement intake.

Nobel laureate professor Michael Levitt also said that the majority of people who died from COVID-19 had up to 3 other health issues. The total number of COVID death would be very similar to severe flu death numbers. The whole COVID issue has been politicized and the opinion of Dr. Levitt and other doctors was not taken into consideration.

Doctors around the world say that the mortality rate of SARS-CoV-2 is overestimated. Every year, more people die from seasonal flu compared with those who die from the coronavirus.

Since many countries did not apply strict measures, as soon as this disease spread, more and more people became infected. As the best example, Sweden allowed its citizens to responsibly decide and social distancing was recommended.

W.H.O. now says we should learn from Sweden as a future response to the epidemics.

COVID-19 Diagnostics Incorrect

Symptoms of COVID-19 appear after about 7-14 days and about 80 percent experience mild symptoms. The disease is described as a respiratory viral infection that begins with a sore throat, fever, which then goes into pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).

The disease is described as a respiratory viral infection, which then develops into pneumonia. Therefore, respiratory strategies using a ventilator, which is used for the acute respiratory syndrome, have been applied.

The ventilator helps the patient to breathe in cases of the acute respiratory syndrome. However, new data showed that ventilators did not help 88 percent of patients who were allegedly diagnosed with Covid-19.

In a viral video posted on YouTube, Dr. Cameron Kyle-Sydell of NYC-ICU said the diagnosis of COVID-19 was completely wrong. Patients who received treatment could breathe on their own but die from a lack of oxygen. Dr. Kyle-Sydell suggested that this was not viral pneumonia, but an unknown disease that exhibits symptoms of oxygen deficiency similar to the high-altitude disease.

Are Deaths Caused by COVID-19 Correct?

A number of doctors expressed their concern that COVID-19 is listed as a cause of death for many people who have died from other health complications. The most vulnerable to infection were people with diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, or lung problems.

Dr. Andrew Kaufman said in an interview with London Real that the number of deaths from coronavirus is incorrect. There are reports of empty hospitals around the world. Lockdown did not reduce the number of deaths from COVID-19, as reported in the media.

Several doctors expressed concern that the death certificates were fabricated and people died for other reasons. This may sound monstrous, but many people on the net say that their family members who died from other health problems received a death certificate from COVID-19.

A doctor from Montana, Dr. Annie Bukachek, reports that people who died from various health problems had a death certificate from COVID-19. How many people died from COVID-19 remains unclear.

Doctors Are Not Allowed to Speak

You may wonder how hospitals and doctors keep silent in this situation. Why do not we see them speaking about it in the media? This information can only be found in alternative sources, where they say that doctors are not allowed to talk about what is happening in the hospital, otherwise, they will be fired.

Nobel laureate professor Levitt from Stanford analyzed the COVID-19 situation from a scientific point of view, and believes that lockdown was a “huge mistake.” Many people had been infected before the lockdown. Some countries have gradually reached the level of saturation to develop herd immunity and to prevent a new outbreak. As a result, countries where there is no strict lockdown policy, such as Sweden and Germany, have fewer death cases compared to those with strict lockdown.

Two Doctors Dan Erickson and Artin Massihi of Emergency Emergency Care help a COVID-19 briefing, which was then removed from YouTube as misinformation for a so-called community policy violation. Doctors discussed their data from test laboratories collected over two months.

Dr. Erickson questioned whether lockdown measures are scientifically sound. He believes that the study and observation of the disease give a real picture. Data show that viral infection was widespread long before localization. According to statistics from California, the likelihood of death from Covid-19 is 0.1 percent, similar to seasonal flu. Many death cases diagnosed as Covid-19 were erroneous and caused by other pre-existing diseases.

Meanwhile, people with heart disease, hypertension, cancer, and other critical health problems are left without any medical care. The consequences of lockdown include domestic violence, anxiety, depression, suicide, social, medical, and economic collapse. Millions of people lost their jobs and businesses,  and opportunities for the future.

Martin Geddes, a scholar, and telecoms expert wrote: “Major Western nations are committing economic and social suicide to sustain an enormous lie about the integrity of those we trusted to protect us. This is a crime against humanity and encompasses many in the pharma business, the corporate media, and the government. The size of the scandal cannot be overstated. Those responsible deserve the most severe punishment for ruining civil society.”

Does this all make sense to you? Why don’t governments listen to real experts? Why is this pandemic so politicized?

If you have any additional information that you want to share with us or your own opinion on this issue, please share it below.

Coronavirus: What Is the Recovery Rate

Every day we are bombarded with news of the death toll from COVID-19 around the world. Millions of people around the world have been advised to keep social distancing and stay home, wash their hands and wear masks in public places.

However, there are a large number of people recovering from this disease. We discuss the extent of COVID-19 recovery in relation to the strategy used by various countries to combat this deadly virus.

What is the Recovery Rate?

The recovery rate is the number of people who have recovered from a disease. Experts say it’s difficult to assess the recovery rate as 25 to 50 percent of people do not show symptoms of the COVID-19 virus infection.

We estimated the recovery rate from COVID-19 worldwide and in some specific countries based on the real-time tracker of Johns Hopkins University (see table). According to the data provided as of April 11, over 1, 72 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection and 104,800 people died from the disease in the world. As estimated, about 390,000 people have recovered from the infection worldwide. This represents about 22.6 percent of the recovery rate.

However, the actual recovery rate remains uncertain for several reasons. Many people do not show symptoms of COVID-19 or do not get tested at all. Some people may get negative test results. In other cases, people may recover, but do not report it to the hospital. Therefore, the recovery rate may differ from what was estimated.

Recovery rates are higher in countries that used aggressive measures and had the highest levels of population testing, such as China and South Korea, 94 percent and 69 percent, respectively.

In many countries, the lack of adequate testing also played a decisive role in the death toll. Since many countries did not apply strict measures, as soon as this disease spread, more and more people became infected.

Experts say up to 70 percent of the world’s population will get infected by a coronavirus. It is currently difficult to predict the spread of the disease and the outcomes.

What is Herd Immunity?

Herd immunity happens when a large percentage of the population becomes immune to infection through immunity against infection or through vaccination. Those who are not infected or have not been vaccinated become immune to infection. This is called herd immunity. Smallpox and polio were eradicated as a result of herd immunity.

In the light of the new coronavirus, some countries like the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Sweden, initially introduced a strategy to develop “herd immunity” by allowing the virus to spread among the population. Scientists say that in the case of the UK, this requires at least 60 percent of the population to be infected.

According to the CDC, some people should not get certain vaccines because of a weakened or compromised immune system, age, pregnancy, allergies, and some chronic diseases.

However, worried that an unpredictable strategy could lead to a large number of casualties among the population, the UK government has changed the strategy advising social distancing and self-isolation.

Sweden to Develop Herd Immunity

Sweden remains the only country that has not introduced strict measures and social distances, as in the rest of Europe. The government closed universities and high schools, banned gatherings of more than 500, and advised people who are sick and older than 70 to stay home.

The Swedish government has used the approach recommended by the country’s chief epidemiologist Tegnell to implement a broad immunity strategy against COVID-19. The country has taken some premature measures but has not implemented quarantine, as elsewhere.

The government advised people to take individual responsibility to stop the spread of the disease. The country’s prime minister urged people to support local businesses by going out and ordering takeaways.

Swedish scientists are worried about the government approach and warn that the herd immunity strategy is similar to “playing the Russian roulette with the Swedish population”.

As of April 11, around 10,151 cases of COVID-19 and 381 deaths were recorded. This represents about 4 percent of the recovery rate (see table below). The near future should show how many Swedes will be affected by this disease and develop immunity for the rest of the population.

Diagnostics of COVID-19

Countries with the highest mortality rates from COVID-19 have faced patient care challenges due to a lack of the right diagnostic tools. The most vulnerable to infection are people with chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, or lung problems.

NYC-ICU  Dr. Cameron Kyle-Sidell says the diagnosis of a new disease, such as COVID-19, is completely wrong. The doctor believes that this is not viral pneumonia, but an unknown disease, similar to a high-altitude disease, which is manifested by symptoms of oxygen deficiency.

Symptoms of COVID-19 appear after about 7-14 days. About 80 percent experience mild symptoms. The disease is described as a respiratory viral infection that begins with a sore throat, fever, which then goes into pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).

The acute respiratory syndrome due to which patients receive treatment is different, and ventilation / respiratory strategies alone cannot help. Doctors now switch to a different protocol and give patients oxygen.

A number of doctors expressed their concern that COVID-19 is listed as a cause of death for many people who have died from other health complications. In general, little is known about this new coronavirus and its nature, which makes it difficult to predict the outcome of the disease in the near future.

Natural Immunity

It is imperative to maintain strong immunity and mental health through a positive attitude, exercise, healthy nutrition and environment, meditation, and other available means.

Human organisms have evolved along with the plant kingdom over hundreds of millions of years, resulting in our bodies becoming dependent on certain key plant compounds present in our diets. Recent studies have shown that natural substances including black tea, cinnamon, resveratrol, and garlic can fight coronavirus infections. More than 5,000 studies of garlic have shown its powerful anti-infectious properties that can treat over 150 diseases, from infection to cancer.

The great American scientist Linus Pauling claimed that vitamin C can cure many diseases, including heart disease, cancer, and infections. He won two undivided Nobel Prizes: the first in chemistry (1954) and the second – the world prize (1962). A recent study found that intravenous high-dose vitamin C is beneficial for treating patients infected with the coronavirus.

You can make homemade vitamin C powder from organic orange and lemon peel to help support your immune system. If you have your own opinion or suggestions on this issue, please share them below.

Coronavirus: How to Protect Yourself and Your Home?

Indoor air pollution is a common problem for every home and in some cases is two to five times worse than outdoors. This includes various indoor pollutants that can cause respiratory diseases. The quick spread of the highly infectious respiratory disease caused by COVID-19 raised concern about the efficient indoor ventilation and sanitation measures.

Our homes should protect the indoor environment to create a healthy indoor environment for the health and comfort of our family. The HVAC systems and other advanced technologies for air purification can help to clean the indoor environment from contagious microbial contaminants.

Indoor Air Pollution and Health Problems

Indoor air quality is one of the five major environmental risks to public health. Indoor air is important because most people spend a substantial time in buildings.

About 2 million deaths per year and 3 percent of the global disease burden are associated with indoor air pollution. These contaminants can cause various diseases such as chronic (allergies, asthma), respiratory infections, and even cancers.

Typical indoor air pollutants and allergens are biological contaminants, dust, volatile organic compounds, gases, fine particulate matter (PM2.5), etc. Common biological pollutants include mold, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, bacteria, and viruses.

Particles of 5 microns or smaller 5 can pass through the lungs and are harmful to your health. These are biological particles, dust, and gases. The smaller the particles, the more harmful they are. Therefore, particles of 2.5 microns are classified as respirable suspended particles and considered very hazardous.

Indoor ventilation

How to Improve Indoor Air Quality?

ASHRAE has developed proactive guidance to prevent the spread of coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) with respect to the operation and maintenance of heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems.

ASHRAE recommends the following strategies to prevent disease transmission:

    • dilution ventilation
    • laminar and other in-room flow regimes
    • differential room pressurization
    • personalized ventilation
    • source capture ventilation
    • filtration (central or unitary),
    • UVGI (upper room, in-room, and in the airstream).

ASHRAE’s Indoor Air Quality Guide is aimed to protect your home from exposure to airborne particles that might be circulated by HVAC systems.

HVAC Systems

You can improve the ventilation and filtering in your home with a ventilation and air conditioning system. Controlling airflow from clean to dirty areas to avoid the spread of polluted air around the house is critical.

HVAC systems are very important to maintain fresh indoor air quality. Many infectious particles are known to be transmitted by air. Therefore, proper ventilation can provide health and public safety.

The most efficient filters such as HEPA filters are able to remove up to 99.97 percent of particles as small as 0.3 microns. HEPA filters can remove dust, dust mites, pet dander, pollens, mold, some bacteria, and other common indoor allergens. Maintaining the relative humidity between 30 and 60 percent will help control mold and dust mites.

In crowded conditions with poor ventilation like in hospital waiting rooms and other public places, even particles with controversial airborne transmission capacity can cause explosive outbreaks.

For instance, the influenza virus can spread in a plane with poor ventilation. In some cases, the infection can be propagated at a significant distance away from the source by ventilation-induced airflows.

The Best Appliances Against Biological Contaminants

In addition to HVAC systems, the best technologies for anti-microbial protection against biological contaminants include:

    • Antibacterial (Ultraviolet) Lamps can effectively destroy viral, bacterial, and fungal organisms such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB), influenza viruses, mold, and other agents in the air and surface, so they are unable to spread and cause disease.
    • Whole House In-Duct Air Purifiers can help to eliminate indoor air pollutants of dust, dander, and pollen from your entire home.
    • Whole-house air filtration systems with HEPA filters can trap 99.97 percent of dust, biological contaminants, and other common indoor allergens.
    • Whole-house humidifiers and dehumidifiers to properly adjust the amount of moisture in your home.
    • Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs) that exhaust the stale indoor air and bring in fresh, preconditioned air from the outdoors.
    • Air ionizer removes particles as small as 0.01 microns as well as neutralize chemical fumes, cigarette smoke, viruses, and bacteria.

The proper HVAC system and appliances can improve the indoor air quality in your home and remove air-born pollutants including microbes.

How is Coronavirus Transmitted?

Airborne particles can be of various origins: viral (chickenpox, smallpox, measles, influenza), and bacterial (tuberculosis). Coronaviruses include seasonal and common cold viruses. Two more virulent coronaviruses caused epidemics: severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), in 2003 and Middle-East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in 2012.

It is known that coronavirus infection can be transmitted (1) through the air by large droplets as well as small particles in the air (droplet nuclei), (2) through a fecal-oral route, and (3) by touching an infected surface.

The infected individuals produce infectious droplets of varying sizes by breathing, coughing, or sneezing, transmitting them to others by both short-range large droplets and airborne small droplet nuclei, depending on the distance from them.

Aerosols are small droplets in the air, therefore called airborne agents with a diameter of < 10 μm. Airborn agents are highly contagious because of aerosol’s small size (< 5–10 μm) and their properties to follow air flows. The ‘intermediate particles’ of 10–20 μm will share some properties of both small and large droplets.

Photo by Anna Shvets from Pexels

Personal Protection Against Air-born Agents

PPE for or aerosol-transmissible agents requires a better filtering capacity and a tight seal around the airways than for those that are only transmitted by large droplets or direct contact.

For personal protection against aerosol transmission of infectious agents the PPE such as N95 masks should be used, rather than surgical ones.

Surgical masks are effective as a physical barrier to large droplets (> 20 μm) as they are too large to be inhaled into the respiratory tract around the sides of the mask.

A recent study showed that under certain conditions, liquid droplets can travel more than 26 feet. CDC now recommends wearing non-surgical masks in public.

4 Simple Rules against COVID-19

Dr. Dave Price from Weill Cornel Medical Center in New York City suggests 4 simple rules to protect yourself from COVID-19 infection:

1. Keep your hands clean. Use a disinfectant or wash your hands every time you touch any surface.

2. Do not touch your face. People unknowingly touch their face about 90 times a day. Wearing a mask can help you stop touching your face.

3. You do not need a respirator. it’s required only for doctors when performing special procedures to sick patients.

4. Social distancing. Keep a distance of 6-6.5 feet (1.5-2 meters) from other people.

Knowing these simples rules can save you from unnecessary anxiety and help protect yourself and your family from this coronavirus disease.

Strengthen Your Immune System

Remember that there are about 40 trillion microbes including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other microorganisms in the human body (so-called microbiome). Healthy people contain a broad range of viruses including pathogenic and potentially harmful such as papillomaviruses, hepatitis B, hepatitis, herpes, HIV and influenza viruses.

Our immune system is able to protect us from pathogenic viruses and even tumor cells that form in our bodies. Their effect on human health depends on the state of your immune system. Keep a healthy immune system by maintaining personal hygiene, a healthy diet, good sleep, and an active lifestyle. Add to your diet vitamins A, C, and D as well as minerals supplements including zinc.
